Croquembouche

Finally an interesting and good recipe of croquembouch has arrived. The croquembouch is one of the most popular creations of the Canadian cuisine. This croquembouch when served as dessert is sure to please your family members. Dish up this croquembouch for a meal today and see it simply vanish.

ingredients:
1.      Pastry
2.      1 cup water
3.      1/2 teaspoon salt
4.      1 tablespoon sugar
5.      1/2 cup KDD Butter
6.      1/2 cup corn oil
7.      1 cup flour
8.      4 large eggs
9.      1 teaspoon vanilla
10.  Filling
11.  2 large eggs
12.  1/2 cup sugar
13.  1/2 cup flour
14.  1 teaspoon vanilla
15.  1 250ml pack KDD Thick Cream
16.  1 cup KDD Milk
17.  1 250ml pack KDD Kwik Whip
18.  Caramel
19.  1/2 cup sugar

preparation:
1.      Heat oven to 200o C. Butter and flour 2 baking sheets. Set aside.
2.      Pastry: Put water in a medium saucepan together with salt, sugar KDD Butter and oil, heat until the mixture comes up to the boil, add flour and beat well with wooden spoon until you have a smooth ball of paste. Cool to lukewarm.
3.      Transfer the paste to a mixing bowl, add eggs gradually, and beat until pastry is glossy. Add vanilla
4.      Place a tablespoon of pastry on the baking sheet, leaving an inch between them.
5.      Bake 20-25 minutes until buns are crisp and halve a rich golden color. Cool.
6.      Fill the buns with cream filling. Arrange on platter in a pyramid shape using the caramel to stick the buns together. Drizzle remaining caramel on top.
7.      Thick Cream filling: In a medium saucepan mix eggs, sugar, flour, vanilla, KDD Thick Cream and KDD Milk, Place over medium heat and stir constantly until thickened. Cool. Whip the KDD Kwik whip and fold in the Thick Cream filling.
8.      Caramel: In a medium frying pan heat sugar until dark brown. Used immediately.
