Strawberry and Almond Torte


This Strawberry Almond Torte is a true delight for anyone who enjoys a great treat! Yes, here's a simple and rather effortless recipe of Strawberry Almond Torte for you to try.

Ingredients:
1.      Cake
2.      1 1/2 cups flour
3.      2 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
4.      1/2 teaspoon baking soda
5.      1/2 teaspoon salt
6.      1/2 cup KDD Butter, softened
7.      1 cup sugar
8.      3 large eggs
9.      1 teaspoon vanilla
10.  1 teaspoon orange peels
11.  1 250 ml pack KDD Thick Cream
12.  Almond Filling
13.  1 cup sliced almonds
14.  1/2 cup powdered sugar
15.  2 tablespoons KDD Butter, softened
16.  2-3 tablespoons orange juice
17.  1/2 cups strawberry jam
18.  Frosting
19.  2 250ml pack KDD Kwik Whip, cold
20.  2-4 tablespoons powdered sugar
21.  Toasted sliced almond-fresh strawberries
preparation:
1.      Heat oven 180 c. Grease and flour two 8 x 1 inch round baling pans. Set aside.
2.      Cake: Sift together flour, baking powder, soda and salt in a large mixing bowl. Set aside.
3.      Beat KDD Butter and sugar 2-3 minutes until light and fluffy.
4.      Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Stir in vanilla and orange peels. Add flour mixture and KDD Thick Cream alternately. Beating well after each addition. Spread batter into prepared pans.
5.      Bake for 20-25 minutes or until wooden toothpicks inserted in the centre comes out clean. Cool cake completely on wire racks.
6.      Cut each cake in half, spread jam on one cake layer then top with one-third of the almond filling. Repeat layering with the cake layers, jam and almond filling. Spread Frosting over the cake. Cover with toasted almonds. Chill until set.
7.      Almond filling: in a bowl or food processor, puree almond. Sugar, KDD Butter and orange juice; beat until smooth.
8.      Frosting: Whisk KDD Kwik Whip and sugar until light and fluffy.
9.      Garnish with fresh strawberries and serve.
